Reliable Solutions for Business Connectivity and Data Storage

Business network connectivity

For a business to function, it requires several support services from third-party providers. Apart from employees, suppliers, associates, and customers, who are related to the business in one way or another, third-party service providers also, play a major role in the success of the enterprise.

Network connectivity, communication system, data storage, and cloud hosting services are some of the essential services provided by these companies. To suit the dynamic nature of businesses, companies are offering customized and tailor-made solutions for each enterprise. This makes it easy for an enterprise to choose the services they require and pay only for those.

The service providers are available 24*7 to offer technical support and upgrade the systems or network. This ensures that businesses do not suffer from a lack of network connectivity or any other unforeseen incidents. It helps in increasing the overall productivity of the enterprise.

These services come under IT support services, which include many more services related to the IT infrastructure of an enterprise. In this blog, let us consider two of the most important IT support services offered by these third-party companies.

Business network connectivity

Business Network Connectivity

An enterprise needs to be connected to the internet at all times. It requires a reliable, high-speed, and scalable network connection that will enable employees to complete their job without any interruptions. There are many ways in which an enterprise can opt for an internet connection. Ethernet, Internet, Metro Ethernet (MAN), Cloud Connect Solutions, etc. are some options.

Fiber optics is the most preferred cable that is being used by many service providers and enterprises. Companies such as LOGIX offer network solutions using only fiber optic cables. They even provide hosted PBX and voice cloud solutions where enterprises can use the same network for VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) systems.

Gigabit Ethernet: Based on the Ethernet frame format used in LAN (Local Area Network) which provides high-speed internet connection is known as Gigabit Ethernet. It transmits 1 billion bits per second, which is equal to one gigabit. This network is the backbone of many enterprises, allowing them to share huge amounts of information within less time.

VoIP Systems: Voice over Internet Protocol is a method in which calls are routed through the internet instead of the regular telephone cables. The PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is hosted on the cloud of the service provider. The same business internet connection is used to make voice and video calls. Employees can use internet-based phones for the purpose or they can simply download the app (provided by the company) on their smartphones and laptops to make calls over the internet.

Cloud Connect Solutions: Most enterprises have migrated their business systems to the cloud platform. This enabled them to reduce the investment in upgrading age-old hardware and software and automate daily operations. There are three main types of cloud-hosted services offered by the companies- IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service). For an enterprise to have uninterrupted access to the cloud, it requires a trustworthy, high-speed, internet connection that is secure, private, and extensible.

Metro Ethernet (MAN): Metropolitan Area Network allows various enterprises located in the same region to share a network connection. This is a cost-effective method of sharing resources while ensuring that factors such as data security, low latency, flexibility, and scalability are not compromised.

Colocation or Data Centers

A colocation is a data center in which more than one enterprise rents server space to store the information related to the business. Also known as colo, in short, these data centers are located in large physical spaces with numerous servers and network connections. The resources for power, connectivity, and cooling are shared by the enterprises that rent the space.

Storing data at the colocation center owned by LOGIX is a great way to reduce the cost of maintaining and upgrading an in-house data center by an enterprise. It is reliable, flexible, and offers multi-level security to keep the data safe from unauthorized access. The colocations are physically secured by high fences, CCTV cameras, and security personnel.

The network is secured to ensure that the data is not tampered with when it is being transmitted between the enterprise and the data center. Enterprises can choose the required server space and add more servers as the business expands. Enterprises can also decide if they want to share the space with other businesses and opt for exclusive cabinets or cages for additional security.

Staying up to date and using the latest features such as fiber optics, cloud-hosted services, and colocations are the best ways for an enterprise to gain an edge over competitors in the market. Enterprises can contact the service providing companies for more information about the different types of plans and services they offer.
