Reasons to Start a Blog for your Business in 2020

Blogging was one of the professional activities I got exposed to as a student, and it is also one practice I want to continue as part of my professional career. I started thinking about making a blog about three years ago, when I finished my professional certification. I could’ve easily started one then, but I came up with excuses for years.
Blogging can be incredibly valuable to a variety of people and for a variety of reasons. I can confidently say that blogging business is profitable; professionally and financially. It has actually become one of my favorite hobbies.

I will share my success story and also the biggest reasons why I think you should start blogging immediately.

1. Attract an Audience of New People
Blogging enables you to reach the millions of people that use the Internet. Whether it be through comments, e-mails, or social media, you may be surprised at how quickly you meet people on-line. Writing can help you promote your business by meeting new people. Blogging works as a method for attracting an audience because it provides something of value to them before asking for anything in return. 2. Makes you a Better Thinker and Organized Writer
Having a blog and writing about important topics that are relevant to your audience establishes yourself and business in the space. While the ultimate reason may be different for each individual, the personal and professional growth potential is why I recommend you start a blog. Because the process of writing includes recording thoughts on paper, the blogging process encourages you to stop and think deeper. If this mental exercise process becomes your everyday life, then you will become more organized writer.

Generally, blog writing gives you time to organize your thoughts as well as thinking and rephrasing. You will love to research and write on new  topics. That’s the beautiful thing about writing

3. Exposed to more perspectives
I’ve had many people reach out to me directly after reading my blog. Some of those people have become friends or good business contacts. In the process of researching new blog post ideas, bloggers are exposed to different perspectivesSimilar to interacting with new people who have different ideas and opinions, blogging opens you up to learning and expanding your horizons.

4. Establish Authority
More than anything, my choice to start a blog allowed me to connect with and teach thousands of talented and passionate readers like you every single day. Content is king, as you may have heard me say earlier because it is exactly what helps people learn more about you and about what you have to offer. If you consistently provide high-quality content that helps your target readers solve their problems, they will see you as a credible and trustworthy source of information. You will become their go-to resource whenever they need something only you can provide.

5. Builds Inspiration and Engagement for your Readers

Blogging can convert traffic into leads and leads into customers.
Bogging not only changes your life, it also changes the life of the reader. And because blogs are free for the audience and open to the public, on many levels, it is an act of giving. It is a selfless act of service to invest your time and energy into a piece of writing and then offer it free to anybody who wants to read it. Your blog can warm up cold calls and traffic from other sources. If someone receives your cold call, they may be more receptive if they’ve read your blog and received value from it.

6. Blogging Create Opportunities

With good blog content, you can generate leads and business opportunities. For example, speaking engagements or press.. Blogging will help you discover more confidence in your life. You will quickly realize that you do live an important life with a unique view and have something to offer others.

7. Organize Your Thoughts and Learn

Blogging forces you to teach yourself what you don’t know and to articulate what you do know. When you begin writing a blog post, you are forced to organize your thoughts. If there are any gaps in the topic that you are writing about, you will have to learn about it. Writing out and articulating your thoughts is a great way to internalize something you’ve learned or experienced. Writing helps you become more familiar with the topic you’re writing about.

8. Make Money

If you have a blog with a lot of readers, there may be opportunities to monetize. You don’t need to make money to enjoy blogging. In fact, sometimes making money from your blog can actually start to distract you from the joy that you found in the first place. With the right foundations in place you’re now ready to start attempting to make money from your blog but you do need to be aware that just because you have set up your blog, have content and have engaged readers that the money won’t just automatically flow. If you are working a job that doesn’t pay as much as you’d like, or if you would simply like to earn more money (who doesn’t?), blogging can make for a great side income.
